Course Description

This course is offered as one of the courses under the Required Physical Education Programme. This course aims at developing students’ fundamental skills of woodball needed for life long participation in the sport. Contents include: shooting, half swing, full swing, tactics and rules of the game, etc.

Course Syllabus

  1. Introduction to Gripping, Stance, and Shooting
  2. Introduction to Medium Stroke
  3. Introduction to the Rules and Regulations of Single and Double Stroke Competitions
  4. Woodball Competition Course
  5. Small-scale Competitions
  6. Introduction to Competition Strategies
  7. Introduction to Long Stroke
  8. Introduction to the Rules and Regulations of, and Strategies commonly employed in Fairway Competitions
  9. 12-Gates (Single and Double) Stroke Competitions
  10. 12-Gates (Single and Double) Fairway Competitions

Assessment

Physical Skill Tests 60% (Login to access the course note, exam standard and video demonstration)

Written Examination 20%

Attendence and Participation 20%
