Objectives: (1) To generate the interest of students in sports activities and sports aesthetic appreciation
(2) To promote sports activities in the University
Theme： CU Welcome Olympic 2008 – On- and off-campus sports activities participation by CUHK staff and students
Eligibility： All full time postgraduates, undergraduates and staff in CUHK
Entry Requirements:

(1) Photo taking competition: All entries must be 4R color photos without any white borders. Entrants are allowed to submit NOT more than 5 entries. Photos taken by digital camera are also accepted.
(2) Wallpaper designing competition: The size of entries should be 1024 ╳ 768 pixels. The suggested resolution is 72 pixels / inch. File format should be JPEG/BMP. Photos in all color are welcomed (including black and white). Images can be produced by entrants or downloaded at the PEU website (http://www.peu.cuhk.edu.hk). Entrants are allowed to submit NOT more than 5 entries.
(3) Closing Date: 26th March 2008
Submission of entries : (1) Photo taking competition: Each photo should have the name of the entrant and its title written on the back (either in Chinese or English). Attached with the application form, the photo(s) should be put in an envelop (Attn: Photo taking Competition) and submit to the counter at the University Sports Center. Both printed photos and CD-ROM should be enclosed for the digital photo entries.
(2) Wallpaper designing competition: Entrants should submit the CD-ROM to the counter at the University Sports Center.
(3) All entries are deemed to be the property of the organizer and will not be returned.
Copyright： The Physical Education Unit, CUHK possesses the copyright of all awarded entries.
Adjudication： All judgments by the Adjudication Panel should be the final judgment. All entrants should raise no objection. Awarded entrants will be notified.
Prizes:：

(1) There are winners, 1st runner-ups and 2nd runner-ups in both competitions. Trophies and certificates will be given to all awardees.
(2) There are also merit awards in both competitions. Certificates and souvenirs will be awarded.
(3) Awarded entries will be posted in campus or published by the University Press. Winning wallpaper entries will be available for free downloads on the PEU website.
Exhibition： All awarded entries will be exhibited at the University Sports Centre in April 2008.
Entry Forms： Entry forms are now available at the counter at the University Sports Centre, Lingnan Stadium (Chung Chi College), United College Gymnasium, New Asia Gymnasium and Shaw College PE Unit. They are also available online at the PEU website (http://www.peu.cuhk.edu.hk).
Remarks： (1) Please do not use flash during indoor events and do not interfere with the officials.
